In addition to leading Carilion’s In-House Legal Department, Mr. Conte oversees Carilion’s Governmental and External Affairs, Philanthropy, and Claims Management areas. He also participates in Carilion’s VTC and rural health initiatives. As Chief Legal Officer, he advises Carilion’s various boards of directors and executive teams on a broad range of matters.
Prior to joining Carilion, Mr. Conte was with Woods Rogers PLC, the largest law firm headquartered west of Richmond, where he served as its Chair. While at Woods Rogers, his practice focused on representation of public, private, and not-for-profit enterprises and their Boards and leaders.
